Kanto Tactics synergies

Traits count different eligible species on the board, not bench copies. This v35 table is transcribed from the public Einoow client module. It replaces the old Water 2/4/6 and older v33 trait values.

Source review: Einoow public v35 client trait configuration and v35 changelog checked on 2026-10-24; every row below uses the current module rather than an older third-party table.

How to plan from thresholds

  1. Choose one primary trait that your current shop and board can realistically reach.
  2. Count different eligible species on the board; bench units do not activate the trait.
  3. Prioritize the next exact breakpoint, not a vague type theme. Water now starts at 3, then 6 and 8.
  4. Use the exceptions correctly: Electric and Dragon affect the whole team, while Ghost debuffs every enemy.
  5. Recheck after a patch. v35 changed Water, Poison, Ground, Flying, Electric, Ice, Fire, Rock, and Psychic values or behavior.

The public module also distinguishes type matchups from trait counting. A unit may have an extra combat type without contributing an extra synergy point, so inspect its current in-client card before finalizing a board.

FAQ

What happened to Water 2/4/6?

That is no longer current. v35 uses 3/6/8 and gives +6/+24/+40 Energy per attack.

Does the bench activate traits?

No. The client UI describes bench units as needing to be placed on the board to count.

Which traits affect the full team?

Electric starting Energy and Dragon Dance affect the full team. Ghost applies its opening defensive debuff to all enemies.

Why is Flying not a dodge trait here?

v35 replaced the old dodge behavior with the Raptor Attack-speed and lowest-HP targeting behavior shown in the current client.
