How to remove items
You cannot peel off a single item. A Magnet sends every equipped item on that Pokémon back to your bag, then it is consumed. If the Pokémon is holding nothing, the Magnet is not consumed.

Steps
- Wait until that Pokémon is not currently fighting.
- Drag the Magnet onto it. On mobile, use the item manager and press Save.
- Every held item returns to the bag. The Magnet is spent.
- Drag back the items you still want. Each Pokémon holds up to three.
- A Magnet on an empty Pokémon does nothing and is not spent.
Where Magnets come from
| Mode | Sources named in the notes |
|---|---|
| Campaign | 1 at the start, plus the 3rd and 6th gyms |
| Tower | 1 at the start, plus each boss |
| PvP | 1 at the start, plus stages 3-8 |
| Shop | The department store sometimes sells one |
Magnets take a bag slot and can stack as ×N. This behavior is from the public guide notes, not from a fresh recording on 2026-10-23.
FAQ
Can I remove just one item?
Not with the published control. The Magnet returns all of them, and you put back the ones you want.
Why did the drag fail mid-fight?
A Pokémon that is in the current fight cannot take items until the next planning phase. Bench units can.
